The Battle Against Stretch Marks

There is nothing worse than those awful looking stretch marks. Instead of wearing those sexy looking bikinis on the beach you have to settle for those old fashioned one piece garments, so that you can keep those marks out of sight. Added to this, every time you shower up or have to change your clothes, they are there, glaring at you.

So how do these ugly marks come? They commonly appear after pregnancy because of stretching of skin and losing a considerable amount of weight. Body building can also create these lines. They occur when the skin is stretched and has sustained damage. They also occur due to hormone activity. There is a hormone called, glucocorticoid, which affects the dermis by stopping the formation of elastin and collagen fibers. This gives rise to stretching of the skin which destroys the dermis and epidermis.

Prevention is one of the best ways to win the battle against these stretch marks and can sometimes help. Good nutrition and exercise during pregnancy can sometimes reduce these lines. However once they appear they are quite hard to get rid of.

How can you win the battle against those ugly stretch marks once they appear and get back to your beautiful self? Sometimes exercises are recommended especially after pregnancy and losing weight, but more often than not these lines still remain.

Do not give up there is help on the way! There is a cream that is formulated to increase elastin and collagen in the skin. You can use this daily on vulnerable areas when you get pregnant or are building muscle. If you have not been able to do this and those stretch marks are already there, then you can apply it to the lines and make them fade. Eventually they will heal and disappear.

How does it work? Elastin and collagen are essential to growth and healing of the skin cells. This cream supplies both these ingredients when you apply it on the lines. This will make the lines fade and allow the skin to heal.

The results have been proven by clinical trials. The cream also makes the skin more supple and reduces those stretch marks. You will use it on a daily basis and see results in around 2 months. A clinical study done with 13 post pregnancy women revealed a significant improvement in about 2 months. Plus their skin was thicker, more supple and healthier after the use of the cream.

Before you use any cream it is best to consult your dermatologist. This is because not every cream will be beneficial to everybody. Everyone has a slightly different way of responding to treatment. Therefore you should do a spot test before applying to the whole area. In this way if you have any allergies to the cream it will be confined to a very small section of your skin. It is always best to be safe rather than sorry when it comes to your skin.

However there are not that many people who are allergic to this cream and you will benefit by using it in your battle against stretch marks.
