Vital Ingredients in Anti Aging Creams

Anyone concerned with eliminating or preventing the signs of aging is probably well acquainted with the fact that there are many Anti aging creams on the market. However, because of the wide variety it is often tough to tell which creams are effective and which ones are not. This article contains information regarding various ingredients that are commonly used in Anti aging creams. These are the active ingredients that determine whether or not the cream is effective or not. Firstly, it is important to be aware that the price of the Anti aging cream is not a good sign of whether or not it is effective. This is because some company’s use expensive packaging, but the creams contained in the beautiful bottles are not that expensive. What determine the quality of the cream are the ingredients that it consists, and not what kind of packaging it is placed in.

To ensure that the ingredients are safe, they should be natural or should be derivatives of natural products. Mother Nature has provided many excellent resources for the fight against the signs of aging. For this reason, a lot of ingredients that are found in Anti aging creams already exist in the body or are available in different food groups. The creams merely augment these or make up for them where they are lacking. Of course, there are some ingredients that are not naturally available in food or in the body. Antioxidants are one of the most important ingredients contained in the creams. Antioxidants are available in different forms and from different sources. For example, Green Tea contains antioxidants. For this reason Green Tea extract is often used in the production of Anti aging creams. Another source of antioxidants is Vitamins A, E, and C. Antioxidants are essentially unstable molecules created by oxygen in the skin. These molecules often cause aging in the form of wrinkles that are caused by skin cells which are broken.

Retinol is derived from Vitamin A and it is the first antioxidant to be used in most Anti aging creams. Retinol is used in non-prescription Anti aging creams. However, there is also Tretinoin which is also derived from Vitamin A. However, Tretinoin is more powerful than Retinol and so creams containing this ingredient are available only through prescription. Good Anti aging creams will also include copper peptides. These are very beneficial, because they are said to improve the performance of antioxidants against the effects of free radicals. Then there are hydroxy acids. These are developed from fruits that contain sugar and are basically synthetic acids. There are a couple of hydroxy acids which works to exfoliate the old and dead cells that form the top layer of the skin. Then the growth of new, healthier and more beautiful cells is promoted, resulting in more even and younger looking skin. Kinetin is derived from plants. This substance is said to improve uneven skin tone and also reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It stimulates collagen and it helps to keep the skin moisture, which is very important in protecting the skin from wrinkles developing.

Coenzyme Q10 is believed to protect the skin from sun damage which can rapidly increase the appearance of the signs of aging. It has also been proven to diminish fine wrinkles that occur around the eyes. Any Anti aging cream that contains all or some of these ingredients will definitely improve the signs of aging and even help to delay them from appearing. However, it is not possible to totally prevent or reverse the signs of aging from appearing. This is a natural part of life and only the signs of the process can be managed through Anti aging creams.
